Q&A
The entire Chapel family’s belief and involvement in the Building the Church Campaign is essential. Visit Get Involved to learn how, together, we will turn God’s vision for embracing our growth into reality.
We have established a five-year Faith Promise period. A Faith Promise is a covenant made between an individual and God, and represents an individual’s five-year commitment of time, talents, and treasure to the Building the Church Campaign. The conclusion of the Campaign arrives when every Faith Promise has been fulfilled and our mortgage debt canceled.
Construction of the new facility began in the spring of 2006. The BTCC Construction Journal has been regularly updated with new information as construction has progressed. Follow this progress with journal posts, picture slideshows, and videos.
By God's grace, we anticipate that construction will be completed and we will begin worshiping in our new facility in fall 2007. Check the Construction Journal for weekly updates on the bricks-and-mortar construction process.
Principles of good stewardship guide our current and future use of our facilities. We believe that two services will best use our expanded facility for the purposes for which it exists: to embrace the growth God is giving us and to give ministries room to grow—all in the name of continuing to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Our efforts now are for those who will join us, becoming the next living stones in God’s church.
We are excited to make the current Worship Room available to our students. Interestingly enough, our Student Ministry currently serves approximately 300 students--roughly the same number of congregants that moved into the current Worship Room upon its completion 15 years ago.
The alternate roadway, the seemingly impossible plan, became a reality late in the fall of 2005, by God's grace. All federal, state, and county jurisdictions approved the plan, all legal documentation prior to construction was completed, and construction of the roadway began in late July of 2005. By the end of November, construction was completed and the roadway was already being used to make it easier for people to enter and exit the Chapel.
